Advancing a Needle-Free Hormone-Delivery Platform
GO Vertical helped Maman Biomedical translate a patient-centered vision into a structured product-development and commercialization pathway.
From a high-burden treatment experience to a clearer product, investment, and commercialization pathway.
The Challenge
IVF and other hormone-therapy patients may face frequent self-administered injections, complex medication routines, needle anxiety, and substantial emotional and physical burden. Maman Biomedical is developing microneedle platforms intended to make hormone delivery simpler and less invasive while preserving the precision, reliability, and usability required of a medical-device platform.
The development challenge extended beyond reducing needle use. The team needed to align the patient experience with product architecture, engineering feasibility, intellectual-property strategy, regulatory considerations, commercialization, and investor communication.
How GO Vertical Supported the Program
GO Vertical structured the engagement as a sequential pathway: Strategic Discovery first, followed by Creation Accelerator work to advance the selected direction.
Unmet Need
Clarified the patient burden, treatment workflow, and experience requirements shaping the opportunity.
Strategic Discovery
Mapped user, technical, regulatory, IP, market, and commercialization considerations before development.
Creation Accelerator
Connected the selected direction to product architecture, engineering requirements, usability, and future manufacturing.
External Recognition
Strengthened the product and investor narrative supporting grant and industry-showcase momentum.
Strategic Discovery
GO Vertical examined the opportunity across user experience, technical feasibility, regulatory considerations, intellectual property, market positioning, and commercialization. GO Vertical’s Concepts A and B translated the founder’s vision into tangible system directions and established the design principles needed for informed concept selection and refinement.
- Defined the core user and treatment workflow
- Mapped technical, regulatory, and commercialization risks
- Developed alternative delivery-system architectures
- Established criteria for concept evaluation and advancement
- Strengthened the investor and partner narrative
Creation Accelerator
Following Strategic Discovery, the Creation Accelerator pathway focused on translating the selected direction into a more actionable development program. The work connected product architecture, usability, engineering requirements, intellectual-property strategy, and future manufacturing considerations.
